FRSITO is the Industry Training Organisation and Standard Setting Body for the Fire and Rescue Industry.
FRSITO sets and maintains national skill standards and qualifications registered on the National Qualifications
Framework (NQF).
Challenge
FRSITO is a growing organisation that relies on technology to support its day-to-day business and meet its
statutory reporting requirements.
FINNZ was asked to provide an assessment of the current technology used by FRSITO to ensure that they were using
the best possible solutions given the size and nature of their business. The following goals were set;
- To understand the technology currently used by FRSITO and whether it could be better integrated
- To ensure that technology is meeting the growing needs of the business
Solution
FINNZ completed a structured review of FRSITO’s current business processes by running a number of workshops and
one-on-one sessions with staff. FINNZ also conducted a review of FRSITO’s current infrastructure arrangements.
FINNZ produced an Evaluation Report for FRSITO that addressed each area of the business and made recommendations
about steps that FRSITO could take to improve overall efficiency.
Benefit
By conducting an independent review of business process, FINNZ was able to identify system and process changes
that could improve the delivery of services to the Fire and Rescue Services industry.
On the strength of our business review, FRSITO are now in the process of making decisions on the best course of
action for improvement.
